I’m Caroline, founder of Sit a Spell Fibers.

Sit a Spell Fibers was born from a love of fiber arts and a desire to help others transform a simple skein of yarn into something beautiful. I believe every maker, regardless of skill level, has knowledge to share. My dream for Sit a Spell Fibers is to cultivate a community where knowledge is passed down, creativity is encouraged, and lifelong friendships can be formed.

I believe knitting and crocheting should be enjoyable and approachable hobbies for everyone. I’m learning to design patterns that build confidence in the newest fiber artist while still being a joy to create for more experienced knitters and crocheters. Each pattern I design is tested to ensure that it is clear, easy to follow, and - most importantly - fun to make!

There is so much inspiration for both yarn and patterns to be found in God’s creation. He is, after all, the Master Artist! Many of my colorways are inspired by life here on our farm and by the changing seasons. There is always something new happening - wildflowers blooming, gardens growing, lambs being born - and there is no shortage of beauty to inspire the next colorway or design.

Knitting and crocheting have been a meaningful part of my life for nearly 20 years, and it never ceases to amaze me that there is always something new to learn. When I’m not knitting or crocheting, you’ll find me tending sheep, fellowshipping at church, and enjoying time with my wonderful husband and children here on the farm.

God has certainly blessed me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share a little piece of that blessing with others through Sit a Spell Fibers.
